Derrik Deon Pulliam thrives as an operations agent for the airline industry


Commerce City, CO, February 5, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Derrik Deon Pulliam, Operations Agent for Southwest Airlines Co., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in airline transportation management.

With 17 years of experience as an operations agent, Mr. Pulliam specializes in communications. He is responsible for assigning gates to planes, loading and unloading passengers, determining aircraft weight and balance, coordinating with ramp agents and communicating with the crew. Prior to joining Southwest Airlines Co., he served six years in the Air Force. He spent another 16 years in the Army Reserve.

Mr. Pulliam has completed coursework in business management and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from Brigham Young University in 1988. In 1999, he was honored as the Retention Non-commissioned Officer of the year on the Battalion and Division levels. He also attained the status of Honor Student in the Advanced NCOC Phase 2 class in 2002. Currently, he is an Army Reserve Recruiter Assistant and a member of Oath Keepers. He attributes his success to his hard work and communication skills. In the coming years, he would like to establish his own business.
