Stratos Jet Charters Establishes New Vendor Relationship In Washington DC
Stratos Jets can now offer 24-hour, jet charter service in and out of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA).

ORLANDO, FL, May 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Stratos Jet Charters, Inc., a worldwide air charter agency, recently invited one of the largest and most well-established aircraft operators in the Washington D.C. metro area, to join the prestigious Stratos Jets' Approved Vendors Program. Stratos Jets can now provide on-demand jet charter service to and from the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) in as little as 96 hours' notice.

The Stratos Jets' Approved Vendors Program ensures that every Stratos Jets vendor meets and exceeds with the highest standards in safety and ethics. In order to become a member of this elite association, the Washington D.C.-based operator had to demonstrate its compliance with Federal Aviation Administration and Department of Transportation regulations as well as Stratos Jets' stringent safety and maintenance standards. These criteria were set forth by the private jet charter agency to ensure the quality and safety of every air charter flight.

To become a Stratos Jets approved vendor, the aircraft operator was also required to demonstrate its commitment to air charter safety by maintaining very high levels of aircraft insurance. These insurance standards require a minimum of $25 million of insurance on all turboprop aircraft and $50 million on all other private aircraft. In the air charter industry, higher levels of insurance show a stronger commitment to aircraft maintenance and safety standards.

Stratos Jets' newest vendor met with these requirements. Included in the air carrier's diverse fleet are seven different business aircraft, including a Beech King Air 200 with $100 million of insurance, Learjet 35 with $50 million of insurance, four Learjet 60s with $50 million of insurance each and a Hawker 850XP with $50 million of insurance. Each of these aircraft can accomplish a variety of different air charter missions such as Washington D.C. to New York City on a Hawker 850 XP.

According to Joel Thomas, president of Stratos Jet Charters, this new vendor relationship will enable his charter agency to provide more convenient access to the nation's capital. Politicians and business executives can now avoid the heavy, rush-hour traffic near Washington Dulles Airport by chartering a private jet to Ronald Reagan Washington Airport. This airport is conveniently located across the Potomac River from the Capitol Building and White House.

"Our air charter agency felt a need to expand our access to more convenient airports in the Washington D.C. area," Thomas said. "Now, politicians and government officials can save time and frustration by chartering a private jet to Washington National Airport (DCA)."
