BACA expands membership and appoints new council members
British Air Charter Association has appointed three new council members

LONDON, ENGLAND, April 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Baltic Air Charter Association (BACA) has seen its membership grow by 15% in the last year - and it has appointed three new council members.

"Traditionally our membership has been mostly European, but we are now also signing up more people from further afield, including Dubai, the US, the Philippines, Australia and Kenya," says Chairman Dick Gilbert. "It shows that our reputation continues to grow and that a wide range of people involved in the air charter market appreciate the benefits of BACA membership."

The three new council members for 2010-2011 are: Tony Coe, Aviation Complete Ltd; Martin Lener, Tyrolean Jet Services and Volker Meissner, Aviation Charter Ltd.

BACA, established in 1947, represents air charter brokers and others involved in the commercial aviation industry for both passengers and cargo. It is the world's largest and most prestigious network for the air charter market, and members include air charter brokers, airports, airlines, business aircraft operators, handling agents, aviation lawyers and consultants.

The principal objective of the organisation is to promote integrity and ethical business practices. It offers training and networking opportunities for members and liaises with aviation and government bodies, lobbying on matters of concern and interest to its members. It is recognised by the UK CAA, the Department for Transport and the European Commission for Mobility and Transport.

"As recent events have shown, you can never predict when you might need to charter an aircraft," says Mr Gilbert. "By going through a BACA air charter broker, customers can be sure that they are dealing with a professional who respects the highest standards of the industry. They can be assured relevant aircraft operators in the transaction are appropriately licenced, certified and insured and dedicated to offering a totally reliable and secure service."
