Dr. Anthony T. Ware is Airport Operations Director of the Chennault International Airport Authority

LAKE CHARLES, LA, November 4, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Anthony T. Ware, Airport Operations Director of the Chennault International Airport Authority, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in logistics and aviation safety.

Dr. Anthony T. Ware has over 23 years in aviation and eight years of Airport Management and Operations experience that he has brought to his current position as the Airport Operations Director of the Chennault International Airport Authority. His multi-purpose expertise is in Airport Management, Operations and Logistics. He also specializes in LEAN/Six Sigma Implementation and Management, ISO 9001/14001 Auditor, Aviation Safety and OSHA/Environmental Compliance. As an airport executive, Mr. Ware's current duties and obligations include overseeing all government and civilian flight operations, aircraft movements, air traffic control operations, airport tenant and compliance relations. He also oversees the Airport Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Contract Tower Program, acts as a liasion for federal programs within the FAA and State Department of Transportation and Development and as the airport emergency/hurricane preparedness facility commander. He multitasks coporate strategic and business goals on the national, state and local government levels and acts on behalf of the Airport Authority's Executive Director and Board of Commissioners. Dr. Ware served in the United States Navy for 21 years and left as an E7 on January 1, 2007. He became involved in his profession because of his love for aviation, and he attributes his success to his hard work, military training and self-improvement skills.

Dr. Ware received his Honorary Doctor of Science in Safety Sciences and Principles in Ergonomics from the University of Berkeley in 2009. In addition, he became a Certified Master Project Manager, a Certified Master Safety Engineer, and a Certified Master Project Engineer through the American Academy of Project Management, a Certified Safety Director through the Professional Institute for Safety Management and has earned Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. He is a board member of the Professional Institute for Safety Management and a member of the Southwest Louisiana Environmental Managers Association, the American Association of Airport Executives, the Federal Aviation Administration Safety Action Team and the Louisiana Airport Managers Association.
