RIVERHEAD, NY, March 10, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Eric Wiggam, Front Line Manager for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership, and excellence in all aspects of management.

Mr. Wiggam has six years of professional experience ensuring the safe, orderly, and expeditious movement of our nation's air traffic system. Mr. Wiggam works at the New York Air Route Traffic Control Center, located on the grounds of Long Island Islip Macarthur Airport in Ronkonkoma, NY. This facility is responsible for approximately 2.5 million aircraft in 3.27 million square miles of airspace each year.

Mr. Wiggam has been involved in aviation ever since he was young. At the age of 12, he started flying and obtained his private pilot's license at the age of 17. Mr. Wiggam attributes his success to having a general unconditional love for the entire aviation industry and the pursuit to improve it.

Mr. Wiggam is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), Supervisory Air Traffic Control Organization (SATCO), and the Grumman Aerospace Corporation Employees (GACE) Flying Club. He is also pursuing his Master of Science in Aviation Business Administration. He received his Bachelor of Science in Air Traffic Management, Cum Laude, from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a minor in Aviation Safety.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is a government agency in the Department of Transportation (DOT) that is responsible for the safety of civilian aviation.
